Trails and Flood Control Preparation of a <br />detailed preliminary and final design for 2.3 miles of the South Platte River through the <br />City and County of Denver including landscape and civil design, utility modifications <br />(i.e. 90-inch sanitary sewers), river enhancement improvements including improved <br />aquatic and wildlife habitat, boat chutes and fish ladders, design of the final portion of <br />the Platte River Greenway trail system in Denver (which completes the 10 mile length of <br />trail system along the Platte), design for creation of new wetlands, and flood control <br />improvements which will decrease the South Platte River floodplain by 300 acres thus <br />allowing for revitalization of this part of North Denver.
