Platte River - Globeville and North Areas - Final Desilln of River Enhancements,
Aquatic and Wildlife Enhancements. Trails and Flood Control Preparation of a
detailed preliminary and final design for 2.3 miles of the South Platte River through the
City and County of Denver including landscape and civil design, utility modifications
(i.e. 90-inch sanitary sewers), river enhancement improvements including improved
aquatic and wildlife habitat, boat chutes and fish ladders, design of the final portion of
the Platte River Greenway trail system in Denver (which completes the 10 mile length of
trail system along the Platte), design for creation of new wetlands, and flood control
improvements which will decrease the South Platte River floodplain by 300 acres thus
allowing for revitalization of this part of North Denver. This project involved extensive
public involvement and included preparation of graphic renderings of the project as well
as multiple presentations to the affected neighborhoods, Mayor's South Platte River Task
Force, South Platte River Commissioners, etc. Construction observation was provided.
This project is the largest flood control project ever undertaken by either the City and
County of Denver and the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District.

Denver International Airport (DIAl - Drainalle Criteria Manual: Under a subcontract
with Martin/Martin Engineers, Love & Associates, Inc. prepared a new "Drainage
Criteria Manual" for use by all future developments within the boundaries established as
being under the pervue of the City and County of Denver and DIA. We provided a
complete manual with all calculations, hydrologic modeling parameters and
recommendations, improvement design parameters, etc.
