Also included was the preparation of a Conditional Letter of Map <br />Revision (CLO\11<) to FEMA for removal of approximately 325 acres from the South Platte River floodplain. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Lower Boulder Creek Stream Restoration - Lafayette, CO, the restoration of Lower Boulder Creek upstream of <br />Rd 287 using gcnmorphic design principles. The stream was diverted from a previously straightened Corps of <br />Engineers channcl and reestablished in the historical meanders and stabilized using in stream rock structures. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Infraslrlleture Design (Drainage, Grading, Utilities and Roadway) for North Boulder Community Park - City <br />ofBou!dc[ Parks ;lIld Recreation Department - Principal Engineer. Designed all core infrastructure for a new 60- <br />acre regiollal park located in North Boulder. Responsibilities included the design of three new residential streets; <br />water, sanitary and storm sewer utilities; grading plan for park site; design oflarge detention pond; preliminary and <br />final drainage plans; design of a relocated irrigation ditch and a ditch lateral; coordination with a proposed low- <br />income housing development located adjacent and east of the park site. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Bridge Replacement of 1" Avenue Structure over Big Thompson River- Hydrologic and Hydraulic Analyses, <br />Design and Report - Loris and Associates (prime) for City of Loveland, CO - Principal Engineer. Designed channel maintenance improvements in the City of Boulder for the Urban <br />Drain8::;c & flood Control District for 1,350 If of grass lined channel, boulder low flow channel edging, rock walls, <br />designed nine (9) grouted boulder drop structures, re-design of the Silver Lake Ditch crossing of the creek, concrete <br />trail system and l:lI1dscape. Also included was floodplain hydraulics for a City permit and wetland permit processes. <br />This pr,-~icct was funded because over the years the channel has degraded and eroded and is in danger of failure due to <br />bank in-stabilizati(lll. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />North ('Iear Creek Floodplain Study, City of Black Hawk, CO - Principal-in-Charge. Floodplain analysis for high <br />mountain stream, l\orth Clear Creek. including analysis of impacts ofCDOT land widening into floodplain.
