Determine if phone service is available at the site for a <br />reasonable installation fee. <br />2. Acquire permission to attach the flood warning gages to <br />the bridge structure. <br />3. Determine how the alarm gage will be attached to the <br />bridge structure and obtain an estimate of the length of 18" <br />CMP required. Estimate the number of brackets and fittings <br />required to attach the gage to the bridge structure. <br />4. Purchase the instrumentation (listed in parts 4.3.2 <br />4.3.5) . <br />5. Design the instrument shelter to meet your needs. Esti- <br />mate the quantity of steel plate and hinge required. Remem- <br />ber to include lifting brackets and a method of locking the <br />shelter in your design. An example of a shelter is shown in <br />Figure 6. <br />6. Purchase the required culvert pipe, steel plate and ac- <br />cessories. <br />7. Have the instrument shelter made. <br />8. Have the stilling well fabricated from the 18" CMP.
