Under the President's proposed <br /> <br /> <br />new cost-sharing policies, the State of Colorado would be required <br /> <br /> <br />to provide 5 percent of the first cost apportioned to the Federal <br /> <br /> <br />Government, and non-Federal interests would be required to pro- <br /> <br /> <br />vide an additional 20 percent of the first cost apportioned to <br /> <br /> <br />the Federal Government. These amounts would be based on the <br /> <br /> <br />final construction costs determined at the time of completion of <br /> <br /> <br />the construction contract. The State's contribution is presently <br /> <br /> <br />estimated at $337,000 (5 percent of $6,735,000) and the addi- <br /> <br /> <br />tional non-Federal contribution is presently estimated at <br /> <br /> <br />$1,347,000 (20 percent of $6,735,000) based on February 1979 <br /> <br /> <br />price levels. The division of responsibilities for operation and <br /> <br /> <br />maintenance would not change.
