<br />9.B.(4) The engineer shall give the State Engineer at least <br />five days advance notice to allow inspection of the cutoff trench and <br />outlet foundation. <br /> <br />9.B.(5) Change orders shall be submitted in accordance with <br />Rule 9.A.(8). <br /> <br />9.B.(6) The engineer shall give the State Engineer at least <br />10 days advance written notice of the engineers final construction <br />inspection. <br /> <br />9.B.(7) The engineer shall notify the State Engineer of the <br />completion of the construction in accordance with Rule 10. <br /> <br />9.C. For minor Class II and Large, Intermediate and Small dams <br />rated as Class III, the owner shall provide an engineer experienced in <br />dam design and construction, who shall be responsible for the <br />following: <br /> <br />9,C.(1) Not less than 30 days prior to construction or as <br />soon as possible for dams whose construction season is affected by <br />freezing weather, the engineer shall notify the State Engineer in <br />writing of the date construction will begin, the name of the engineer <br />in charge of the project, and the name of the contractor; <br /> <br />9.C.(2) The engineer shall observe, or provide for the <br />observation by a technician the construction work on the dam, the <br />cutoff trench, and outlet works foundation to see that they are in <br />substantial accordance with the approved plans. The engineer shall <br />endeavor to guard against defects and deficiencies in the construction <br />of the dam, and shall disapprove or reject work failing to conform to <br />the approved plans and specifications; <br /> <br />9.C.(3) Periodic tests shall be taken and inspections made. <br />Periodic progress reports shall be submitted as requested by the State <br />Engineer. The engineer, shall compile a record of all tests con- <br />ducted, and any problems and remedies, for submittal to the State <br />Engineer at the end of construction; <br /> <br />9.C.(4) Change orders shall be submitted in accordance with <br />Rule 6.A.(8); <br /> <br />9,C.(5) The engineer shall give the State Engineer at least <br />10 days advance written notice of the project engineers final con- <br />struction inspection; and <br /> <br />9.C.(6) The engineer shall notify the State Engineer of the <br />completion of construction in accordance with Rule 10. <br /> <br />- 34 - <br />
