<br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the Town of <br />Rangely, by Resolution No, 307, adopted on September 10, 1990, designated and approved the <br />detailed and approximate floodplain information included in said report and rescinded Resolution <br />No, 241; and <br /> <br />-- <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency completed a floodplain <br />information report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, Rio Blanco County, Colorado, Unincorporated <br />Areas", dated February 16, 1990; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report included detailed and approximate floodplain information for <br />streams within unincorporated portions of Rio Blanco County, as they were on February 16, <br />1990; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board has not designated and approved the <br />detailed and approximate floodplain information included in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Floodplain Information Report, White River, From Rio <br />Blanco Lake to Utah-Colorado State Line", dated March 1995 and revised April 1996, has been <br />prepared by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report includes approximate floodplain information for the Yampa <br />River within the corporate limits of the Town of Rangely and within unincorporated portions of <br />Rio Blanco County, as they were in April 1996; and <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report includes the following approximate floodplain information <br />which is consistent with detailed floodplain information previously designated and approved by <br />Resolution No, 307 and with the undesignated floodplain information contained in the Flood <br />Insurance for unincorporated Rio Blanco County, dated February 16, 1990, as listed in Table 1, <br />attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; <br /> <br />TABLE I <br /> <br />Approximate Floodplain Information Which Is Consistent With Detailed Information <br />. Dated February 16. 1990 <br /> <br />The White River from a point approximately 14,350 feet downstream of the crossing of Highway 64 <br />upstream to a point approximately 41,450 feet upstream of that crossing ; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report includes the following approximate floodplain information <br />which has not previously been designated and approved by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board, as listed in Table 2, attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br />2 <br />
