DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS <br /> <br />I NORMAL RESPONSIBIUTlES I <br /> <br />1. Make expedient road repairs and open es- <br />sentla/traffic routes, <br /> <br />2, Provide s18te highway maps to s18te agen- <br />cies for response to disasters associated <br />wRh transportation networks. <br /> <br />3. Assess the long term potential vulnerability <br />to disaster associated wRh transportation <br />networks. <br /> <br />4, Maintain traffic control devices and route <br />markers on the s18te highway system, <br /> <br />5. Provide for closures of highways, or limita- <br />tions on the use of highways In the state <br />highway system. <br /> <br />6. Issue permRs for movement of certain <br />vehicles (those exceeding statutory limits <br />on size, weight or load) on the state high- <br />way system, <br /> <br />7, Maintains road and bridge Inventories, con- <br />struction costs, Index and highway safety <br />statistics. <br /> <br />I SPECIAL RESPONSIBIUTIES I <br /> <br />1.
