In a national emergency, identify thoSB <br />routine health and medical services that can <br />be suspended and, upon approval of the <br />Governor, take action to suspend such ac- <br />tivities. <br /> <br />2. Provide for health and medical Services at <br />the SEOC, alternate SEOC's and reconstitu- <br />tion area facUlties as required, <br /> <br />3, Provide Department of Health action of- <br />ficers for the SEOC, Field COOIdlnatlon <br />Center and other state command and con- <br />trol facilities that may be designated. <br /> <br />4. Inform DODES (SEOC when activated) of <br />emergency health and medical related <br />problems identified within the state. <br /> <br />5. Verify potential disaster-related health and <br />medical problems; take action as ap- <br />propriate, <br /> <br />6, Validate and aggregate damage assess- <br />ment data on water and sanitation systems, <br /> <br />medical facilities and other health and medi- <br />cal problems; take action as appropriate, <br /> <br />7, Provide periodic health and medical status <br />reports to DODES/SEOC, <br /> <br />8- Provide for continuity of leadership and <br />operations, Establish a line of successlon <br />for each key position within the depart- <br />ment/agency and Its subordinate elements <br />to ensure that the department/agency can <br />continue to perform its essential activities, <br />Identify all records and other documents <br />vital to continuity of operations. Establish a <br />method to preSBrve same by copying, <br />microfiche, or other means for safekeeping <br />at an alternate location. Develop a plan to <br />relocate all essential elements of the depart- <br />ment/agency In event of a major natural or <br />man-made disaster, Be prepared to move <br />staff and critical documents to a different <br />base(s) of operations as designated by the <br />Governor. Be prepared to conduct opera- <br />tions for an extended period at the altemate <br />locatfon. <br /> <br />25 <br />
