<br />20. BUILDING, MAIN: A building devoted to the principal use
<br />of the lot upon which it is situated.
<br />
<br />21. BUILDING, SETBACK: Distance between the property line and
<br />the nearest portion of a building on the property.
<br />
<br />22. CEMETERY: Land used for the interment of the dead, in-
<br />cluding columbariums, crematoriums, mausoleums and mortu-
<br />aries, when operated in conjunction with and within the
<br />boundary of such cemetery.
<br />
<br />23. CHANNEL: A natural or artificial low lying land area with
<br />definite bed and banks to confine and conduct continuously
<br />or periodically flowing water.
<br />
<br />24. CHILD CARE CENTER: A facility, by whatever name known,
<br />which is maintained for the whole or part of a day for the
<br />care of persons under the age of 21 years, and not related
<br />to the owner, operator, or manager thereof, whether such
<br />facility is operated with or without stated educational
<br />purposes. The term shall include facilities commonly known
<br />as "day care centers", "day nurseries", "nursery schools:,
<br />"kindergartens", "Preschools", "play groups", "day camps",
<br />"summer camps", "centers for mentally retarded children",
<br />and those facilities which give 24-hour care for dependent
<br />and neglected children; and shall include those facilities
<br />for children under the age of six years, with stated educa-
<br />tional purposes, operated in conjunction with a public, pri-
<br />vate or parochial school, except that the term shall not ap-
<br />ply to a kindergarten maintained in connection with a pub-
<br />lic, private, or parochial elementary school system of at
<br />least six grades; provided further, that the term "kinder-
<br />garten" shall mean any facility providing an educational
<br />program for children only for the year preceding their en-
<br />trance to the first grade, whether such facility is called
<br />a kindergarten, nursery school, preschool, or by another
<br />name. The term shall not include any facility licensed as
<br />a family care home under the provisions of this article.
<br />
<br />25. CLUB: A meeting place for an association of persons for
<br />some common object; this term shall include country clubs,
<br />lodges, and other membership associations.
<br />
<br />26, CONDITIONAL USES: Uses allowable in the resolution by spe-
<br />cial permit only,
<br />
<br />27. COMMISSIONS AND PUBLIC OFFICIALS: The terms, County, Coun-
<br />ty Commissioners, County Clerk and Recorder, County Attorney,
<br />Building Inspector or Department and Planning Commission, shall
<br />mean the County Board of County Commissioners, County Clerk
<br />and Recorder, County Attorney, Building Inspector or De-
<br />partment and Planning Commission of, or empowered to act
<br />for the County of Fremont, Colorado.
