<br />,;.J . <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Current Status <br /> <br />By letter dated March 1, 1977, the Board of County Commissioners <br />of Delta County expressed their desire to participate in a floodplain <br />study of the Uncompahgre River and Gunnison River. <br /> <br />On March 30,- 1977, the Corps of Engineers Sacramento District <br />was advised by this Board of several requests for floodplain in for- <br />mation'studies in Colorado including the Gunnison-Uncompahgre River <br />study in'Delta County. Research of flood history and the hydrologic <br />,analysis was initiated ,shortly thereafter and should now be close to <br />completion. <br /> <br />on May 1, 1977, the CWCB initiated a contract with Aero-Metric <br />Engineering, Inc., to furnish the maps and other related topographic <br />data. This work is well underway and the maps have already been <br />turned over to the Corps of Engineers. As soon as the cross section <br />elevations,have been digitized, this will also be turned over to the <br />Corps. This material is expected to be available by March 31, 1978. <br /> <br />Based on a timely receipt of the basic topographic data, the <br />.
