<br />b. Maintenance. The closure structures components shall be inspected by <br />the superintendent every 90 days to be certain that: <br /> <br />1. No parts are missing; <br /> <br />2. Metal logs are not damaged; <br /> <br />3. Wood spacers are not badly warped <br /> <br />Tools and parts shall not be removed from storage for other uses. Closure <br />structure materials will be carefully checked prior to and following the <br />flood season, and damaged or missing parts shall be repaired or replaced <br />immediately. <br /> <br />c. Parts, Tools and Equipment. <br /> <br />1. Highway 50 Closure Structures. <br /> <br />(a) Three wide flange galvanized steel posts, 9 ft. 6 in. long, <br />with 1 1/2 in. Lifting holes, two chains with grab hooks and anchored ring <br />for tying down logs. <br /> <br />(b) Twenty galvanized steel logs, 10 ft. 5 in long, for the two <br />outer bays. Eighteen required, two extra logs furnished; <br /> <br />(c) Thirty galvanized steel logs ,21 ft. 5 in. long for the two <br />center bays. Twenty eight required, two extra logs furnished; <br /> <br />(d) Two 1/4 in. chains with grab hooks to tie down logs to eye <br />bolts anchored in concrete walls; <br /> <br />(e) Two removable sections of guardrail which are in place; <br /> <br />(f) Three galvanized steel cover plates with neoprene gaskets <br />bolted in place; <br /> <br />(g) Eight 1 in. by 6 in. by 5 ft. 3 in. wood spacers for three <br />posts over the highway; <br /> <br />(h) Four 1 in by 4 in by 6 ft. 4 in. wood spacers for two outer <br />posts and concrete wall recesses; <br /> <br />(i) Wrenches to remove bolts on guardrail sections and <br />galvanized steel covers; <br /> <br />(j) Two stoplog lifting tongs; <br /> <br />(k) One flat bed l-ton truck for the tranportation of logs from <br />place of storage to area immediately adjacent to closure structure; <br /> <br />(1) One A-frame or similar lifting device for the steel logs. <br /> <br />10 <br />
