<br />The CONTRACTOR shall notify all affected persons at least forty- <br />eight hours before starting WORK which may block entrances or <br />otherwise cause undue difficult to occupants of property <br />affected and shall restore such entrances to a usable conditions <br />as soon as possible. The CONTRACTOR, his SUBCONTRACTORS and <br />employees shall at all times be courteous to the publ ic duri ng <br />the performance of the WORK. <br /> <br />13.05 PERMITS AND LICENSES. All permits, licenses, and approvals <br />requi red in the prosecution of the WORK shall be obtained and <br />paid for by the CONTRACTOR. The CONTRACTOR shall also be <br />responsible for the payment of any applicable taxes, tap fees, <br />development fees, or other charges and fees imposed by util ity <br />companies or governmental agencies responsible for imposing such <br />fees or taxes and/or providing such services to the facility or <br />facilities to be constructed hereunder. <br /> <br />13.06 TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION AND SECURITY FACILITIES. The CONTRACTOR <br />shall provide all materials, tools, equipment and labor <br />necessary for dewatering, water control, temporary pumping <br />facilities, bypassing of sewage, traffic control, pedestrian and <br />vehicular barricades, detours, signing, temporary fencing, and <br />a 11 other related tempora ry const ruct i on and security faci 1 it i es <br />necessary to perform the work in accordance with CONTRACT <br />DOCUMENTS. <br /> <br />13.07 SUPERVISION BY CONTRACTOR. The CONTRACTOR will supervise and <br />direct the WORK and manager any SUBCONTRACTORS WORK. He will be <br />solely responsible for the means, methods, techniques, sequences <br />and procedures of const ruct ion. The CONTRACTOR wi 11 employ and <br />maintain on the WORK a qualified supervisor or superintendent <br />who shall have been designed in writing by the CONTRACTOR as the <br />CONTRACTOR's representative at the site. The supervisor shall <br />have full authority to act on behalf of the CONTRACTOR and all <br />communications given to the supervisor shall be as binding as if <br />given to the CONTRACTOR. The supervisor shall be present on the <br />site at all times as required to perform adequate supervision <br />and coordination of the WORK. <br /> <br />13.08 CONSTRUCTION MANPOWER. The CONTRACTOR shall assign an adequate <br />number of persons to each task so that an optimum rate of <br />progress is maintained. The number of assigned personnel is <br />especi ally critical whenever an operation is begun which <br />requires that the actiVity be pursued at a rate needed to avoid <br />the manufacture of an inferior product. <br /> <br />13.09 CONSTRUCTION MACHINES. The CONTRACTOR shall have available for <br />use when needed all necessary construction machinery and <br />equipment which is safe, in good working condition, and adequate <br />for the task and in numbers needed to maintain an optimum rate <br />of progress. <br /> <br />IV-14 <br /> <br />(1667-3/90) <br />
