<br />GC-13 General Service and Facilities Requirements. <br /> <br />13.01 GENERAL. Except as may be modified otherwise in the SPECIAL <br />CONTRACT CONDITIONS, the CONTRACTOR shall provide and pay for <br />all permits and licenses, materials, labor, tools, equipment, <br />water, sanitary, heat, light, power, transportation, <br />supervision, field office facilities, telephone and other <br />rel ated servi ces and faci 1 it i es of whatsoever nature necessary <br />to execute and complete the work in accordance with the CONTRACT <br />DOCUMENTS. <br /> <br />13.02 MATERIALS, SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT. <br /> <br />a. Materials and equipment shall be so stored as to insure the <br />preservation of thei r qual ity and fitness for the WORK. Stored <br />materials and equipment to be incorporated in the WORK shall be <br />located so as to facilitate prompt inspection. <br /> <br />b. Manufactured articles, materials, and <br />applied, installed, connected, erected, <br />conditioned as directed by the manufacturer. <br /> <br />equipment shall be <br />used, cleaned and <br /> <br />c. Materials, supplies and equipment shall be in accordance <br />with samples submitted by the CONTRACTOR and approved by the <br />E NG I NEER or OWNER and sha 11 be new unless otherwi se spec i fi ed <br />and approved. <br /> <br />d. Materials, supplies or equipment to be incorporated into the <br />WORK shall not be purchased by the CONTRACTOR or the <br />SUBCONTRACTOR subject to a chattel mortgage or under a <br />conditional sale contract or other agreement by which an <br />interest is retained by the seller. <br /> <br />13.D3 REGULATIONS. The CONTRACTOR shall give all notices and comply <br />with all laws, ordinances, codes, rules and regulations bearing <br />on the conduct of the WORK. If the CONTRACTOR observes that any <br />DRAWINGS or SPECIFICATIONS are at variance therewith, or if the <br />CONTRACTOR performs any WORK under any ci rcumstances where he <br />knows or should have known it to be contrary to any such 1 aw, <br />ordinances, code, rules or regulations, and without giving such <br />notice to the ENGINEER and/or OWNER, he shall bear all <br />costs arising therefrom. However, it shall not be the <br />CONTRACTORS primary responsibility to make certain that the <br />DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS are in accordance with such laws, <br />ordinances, rules and regulations. <br /> <br />13.04 PUBLIC RELATIONS. The CONTRACTOR shall carryon the WORK in <br />such manner as to mlnlmlze inconvenience to the public, <br />particularly occupants of property adjacent to the project, as <br />is consistent with good workmanship. <br /> <br />IV-13 <br /> <br />(1667-3/90) <br />
