<br />Requests by the CONTRACTOR for survey reference points and bench marks <br />must be made in sufficient time to permit the ENGINEER to accomplish <br />such surveys on normal working days. <br /> <br />Work which the CONTRACTOR has done, before reference points and bench <br />marks have been provided, may be rejected. Should the original <br />reference points and bench marks which the ENGINEER provided by <br />obliterated or dislodged by operations which the CONTRACTOR controls, <br />the ENGINEER will replace them and charge the CONTRACTOR for the <br />survey. The cost of these resurveys will be determined by multiplying <br />the hourly equivalent of the salaries and fringe benefits paid to the <br />survey personnel actually involved in the resurvey by the hours <br />expended in doing that resurvey plus material and equipment costs. <br /> <br />GC-g Land and Rights-of-Way. Prior to issuance of Notice to Proceed, the <br />OWNER will obtain all land and rights-of-way necessary for carrying <br />out and for the completion of the WORK to be performed pursuant to the <br />CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, un 1 ess otherwi se stated in the SPEC IAL CONTRACT <br />CONDITIONS. <br /> <br />The OWNER will provide to the CONTRACTOR information which delineates <br />and describes the lands owned and rights-of-way acquired. <br /> <br />The CONTRACTOR shall provide at his own expense and without liability <br />to the OWNER or the ENGINEER any additional land and access hereto that <br />the CONTRACTOR may desire for temporary construction facilities, or for <br />storage of materials. <br /> <br />GC-I0 Drawings, Specifications, and Submittals. <br /> <br />10.01 GENERAL. DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS are integral parts of the <br />CONTRACT. These are intended to provide detail s adequate to <br />permit full understandi ng between the CONTRACTOR and the OWNER <br />of work to be performed under the CONTRACT. The Drawi ngs and <br />SPECIFICATIONS are intended to be complimentary and must be <br />interpreted in that sense. <br /> <br />Any discrepancies found between the DRAWINGS and SPECIFICATIONS <br />and site conditions or any inconsistencies or ambiguities in the <br />DRAWINGS or SPECIFICATIONS shall be immediately reported to the <br />ENGINEER and/or OWNER in writing, who shall promptly correct <br />such inconsistencies or ambiguities in writing. WORK done by <br />the CONTRACTOR after his discovery of such discrepancies, <br />inconsistencies or ambiguities shall be done at the CONTRACTOR's <br />risk. <br /> <br />I f work, a 1 though not descri bed by the d rawi ngs and <br />specifications, appears to be necessary for the successful <br />performance of the CONTRACT and if the necessity for such work <br />can reasonably be implied from the CONTRACT DOCUMENTS, the <br />CONTRACTOR shall perform that work as if it were specified. <br /> <br />IV-8 <br /> <br />(1667-3/90) <br />
