<br />. <br />. <br /> <br />Team briefing. <br /> <br />C, conduct State and local briefings, <br /> <br />Key State and local officials who will be involved in the <br /> <br />hazard mitigation process should be briefed at the <br /> <br /> <br />disaster site by the Team Leader and the State Hazard <br /> <br /> <br />Mitigation Coordinator. Other Team members may be <br /> <br />. . <br /> <br />requested to participate in the briefings as dictated by <br />the type of disaster and community impacts, The briefing <br />should be short, approximately one hour, and should <br />review the purpose of the Team, present potential <br />benefits to the State and local governments, and most <br />importantly, solicit support, and obtain suggestions and <br /> <br />input for the Report from the local and State officials, <br /> <br />It is usually necessary to hold at least two separate <br /> <br /> <br />briefings; one for State officials (Attachment #16) and <br /> <br /> <br />another (or others) for local officials of the most <br /> <br /> <br />heavily damaged or impacted communities (Attachment #17), <br /> <br />During these briefings, an agreement should be reached as <br /> <br />to which State a~d local officials should participate on <br /> <br /> <br />the Team and which will be represented by the State <br /> <br />Hazard Mitigation Coordinator, <br /> <br />. <br />
