The system consists of
three components: (1) Environmental Impact Computer System
that enables a user to determine how an Army action affects
various aspects of the environment and how to address these
effects. Input includes the type of activity planned and
natural, economic, and social features of the environment.
Output is in matrix form with descriptions of possible
ramifications and mitigations. (2) Economic Impact Fore-
cast System including statistics for every county in the
United States on population, statistics, employment, income,
and government. System predicts impact of planned activi-
ties. (3) Computer-Aided Environmental Legislative Data
System, an up-to-date summary of all Federal and state laws,
regulations, and standards related to the environment, in-
cluding geographic area, administrative agency, legal
reference, abstract, and topics.

Computerized system is designed for batch or interactive
processing.
