If the <br />Administrator has not provided suffi- <br />cient data to furnish a. buls for these <br />regula.tlons In a. partlcula.r community. <br />the community sha.1l obtain. review. <br />and reasona.bly utlllze data a.vallable <br />from. other Federa.l, State or other <br />sources, pending receipt of da.ta from <br />the Administrator. However, when spe- <br />cia.l flood-rela.ted erosion ha.za.rd &rea <br />designa.tions have been furnished by <br />the Administra.tor they sha.ll a.pply. <br />The symbols defining such special <br />flood-rela.ted erosion hazard designa.- <br />tions a.re set forth In f 64.3 of this sub- <br />chapter. In a.1I cases the minimum re- <br />quirements governing the adequa.cy of <br />the flood plain management regula.- <br />tions for flood-related erosion-prone <br />a.reas a.dopted by a pa.rtlcula.r commu- <br />nity depend on the a.mount of technical <br />data provided to the community by the <br />Administrator. Minimum standards for <br />communities a.re as follows; <br />(a) When the Administra.tor has not <br />yet identified any a.rea within the com- <br />munity as having special flood-related <br />erosion ha.za.rds. but the community <br />hu Indicated the presence of such haz- <br />a.rds by submitting a.n application to <br />participate in the Program. the com- <br />munity sha.ll <br />(I) ReqUire the issuance of a permit <br />for a.ll proposed construction, or other <br />development In the area of flood-relat- <br />ed erosion hazard, as it is known to the <br />community; <br />(2) Require review of each permit ap- <br />plication to determine whether the <br />proposed site alterations and improve- <br />ments will be reasona.bly sa.fe from <br />flood-related erosion a.nd will not ca.use <br /> <br />242 <br />
