<br />At the Engineering and Research Cen-
<br />ter of the Bureau of Reclamation, tech-
<br />nicians have been studying ways 10
<br />increase the tailwater temperature and
<br />are encouraged by the results of the
<br />studies and a model simulation
<br />
<br />An exlensive fish-stocking program has
<br />been carried on cooperatively by the
<br />Bureau 01 Sport Fisheries and Wildlife
<br />and the several state fish and game
<br />departments to meet the stream and
<br />reservoir management needs within
<br />the Uppef Colorado River Basin. These
<br />needs have recently been increased by
<br />Ihe addition of new waters such as
<br />Silver Jack Reservoir in Colorado; Bal.
<br />tle Hollow, Starvation, and the enlarged
<br />StrawberfY Reservoirs in Utah; and
<br />Meeks Cabin Reservoir in Wyoming
<br />
<br />The two national 'ish hatcheries devel.
<br />oped with Colorado River Storage
<br />PrOject Act funds have played impor.
<br />tant roles in the joint State.Federal
<br />approach to meeting fish-stocking re-
<br />quirements.
