HOLD PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br />9. <br />Hold such public heorings as necessary to the development of the planning program with <br />at least one such meeting in each planning region of the state. <br /> <br />The Land Use Commission has made progress in each oi these work items. The iollowing <br />subsections briefly describe the work compiled to date, some of the findings of this <br />work, and the immediate action recommendations oi the Commission. <br /> <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />This will provide a continual survey of the nature oi development and its indirect, as well <br />as direct, impacts upon the environment. <br /> <br />. CATALOG EXISTING <br />PLANNING PROGRAMS <br />AND RESOURCES <br /> <br />. WORK WITH OLYMPIC <br />AGENCIES AND <br />PROVIDE EVALUATIONS <br /> <br />4. <br />Utilize, recognize, and evaluate all existing local, state, and federal land use patterns, <br />land use plans, policies, standards, and procedures affecting land use. <br /> <br />S. <br />Cooperate with the Olympic agencies regarding the 1976 winter events to ensure that <br />environmental and ecological factors receive equal consideration to technical factors in <br />site selection; accept and manage gifts and grants for such purposes on behali of the <br />state; evaluate community impacts associated with the Olympics; specify information <br />needed for impact studies to the Governor and General Assembly. Thereafter, complete <br />impact statements as needed and indicate findings to the Governor and to local areas to <br />guide further required land use - environmental control actions. <br /> <br />. DEVELOP MODEL SUBDIVISION <br />REGULATIONS <br /> <br />6. <br />Develop model subdivision regulations in accordance with ihe existing county planning <br />law for use by the counties in meeting the legislative requirements oi Senate Bill 92, <br />1971, and distribute these model regulations to the counties by January 1, 1972. <br /> <br />7. <br />Establish a growth monitoring system via an improvement notice procedure adopted by <br />the 1971 General Assembly and by subdivision plan review to commence Ju Iy 1, 1972. <br /> <br />8. <br />Appoint and confer with an Advisory Committee to serve until January 10, 1974, <br />representing various interest groups, covering the twelve planning regions. <br /> <br />.
