As can be seen, the difference in costs between the Interim
Report and the Final Report cost estimate on the channel is
considerably different. We attribute this to lack of detailed
information at the time of the Interim Report cost estimate.
Rip rap cost, drop structure cost and excavation cost, because
of the Denver Water Board conduit, are the contributing factors
for the increased costs. This increase in cost, however, will
not change the alternate selection for the final design as in
all alternates, the channel costs would have to be increased
by the difference shown on the previous tables.
