Prior
to final implementation of the plan, it is suggested that the
preliminary plan receive review by the City legal staff to
identify and resolve any legal problems which might be associated
with the plan, prior to implementation.

Although no major legal problems are foreseen from a layman's
viewpoint, our experience in dealing with the legal aspects of
drainage on previous projects, would lead me to suggest that
the following items, at a minimum, be reviewed by the city attorney:

1. Realignment of the box culvert from Prince Street to
the South Platte River.

2. Implementation of channel improvements adjacent to the
Denver Water Board 60 inch conduit.

3. Partial utilization of the Denver Water Board 40 foot
easement for channel improvements.

4. Legality of major street improvements on Windermere as
they might affect adjoining property.

5. The legal soundness of implementing flood plain manage-
ment regulations versus structural improvements through
the reach on main Slaughterhouse Gulch between Windermere
Street and Powers Park.

IX-l
