<br />None of the entities encourage "panding" or detention of storm water, <br /> <br /> <br />although they may allow it in certain particular development situations. <br /> <br /> <br />All of the drainage officials for the entities prefer that the Big <br /> <br /> <br />Dry Creek channel be allowed to remain in its natural state where <br /> <br /> <br />possible and that adjacent developments provide open green belt areas <br /> <br /> <br />or other restrictive uses in the flood plain area. In developed and <br /> <br /> <br />confined areas along the basin channel, all of the entities are in <br /> <br /> <br />favor of a drainage master plan that includes channel realignment and <br /> <br /> <br />improvements, structure improvements, erosion protection, etc., to <br /> <br /> <br />minimize flood hazards and property damage. <br /> <br /> <br />"Flood Plain Information" (Volume IV, Denver ~letropol i tan Regi on, <br /> <br /> <br />Denver), prepcued by the Corps of Englneers in October, 1968, has been <br /> <br /> <br />used by the entities to determine intcnnediate regional flood plain <br /> <br /> <br />and standard project flood plain limits. <br /> <br /> <br />B.) 1l.:J2..
