<br />The City of Greenwood Village utilizes the criteria of the <br /> <br /> <br />Urban Drainage and Flood Control District in addition to general <br /> <br /> <br />land use regulating provisions in their "Subdivision Regulations." <br /> <br /> <br />The "Subdivision Regulations of Arapahoe County" contains <br /> <br /> <br />provisions for the regulation of drainage in all uniricorporated areas <br /> <br /> <br />of the county from sketch plan phase i~hrough to the final subdivision <br /> <br /> <br />design phase. However, the criteria of the Urban Drainage and Flood <br /> <br /> <br />Control District has been adopted for drainage analysis and facilities <br /> <br />design. <br /> <br />All unincorporated areas and proposed subdivisions in Douglas <br /> <br /> <br />County <ire subject to the provisions of the "Douglas County Zoning <br /> <br /> <br />Resolution" and the "Douglas County Subdivision Regulations." Section <br /> <br /> <br />XIX, paragraph 19.5 (flood plains) of the "Zoning Resolution" fully <br /> <br /> <br />defines and regulates land use in areas subject to flood bazards by <br /> <br /> <br />a 100-year frequency flood. Section III (design standards) contains <br /> <br /> <br />provisions for review of all new subdivisiollS to verify compliance with <br /> <br /> <br />technical requirements for drainage. <br /> <br /> <br />Douglas County is currently utilizing the technical criteria of <br /> <br /> <br />the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District. Engineering drawings <br /> <br /> <br />arc reviewed for compliance by the Urban Drainage and Flood Control <br /> <br /> <br />District, Soil Conservation Service, the Colorado Division of 1vater <br /> <br /> <br />Resources, and by county officials. <br />In summary, each of the entities has its own zoning and 5ub- <br />division regulations affecting land developlllent. However, all oC <br />the entities have adopted the criteria of the Urban Drainage and Flood <br />Control District for technical analysis and design of drainuge Cacilitil's, <br /> <br />,]3 <br />
