<br />outlet works including the existing flume, intake, gate- <br />house, outlet structure, and small diameter irrigation line; <br />removing and grouting the six (6) existing piezometers; <br />removing all the existing riprap and concrete facing on the <br />dam; clearing and grubbing and refilling the two swampy <br />areas below the dam as indicated on the drawings; and <br />spoiling all nonusable materials in the location indicated <br />on the drawings. <br /> <br />Payment shall be made on a lump sum basis with progress <br />payments made based on percent of total work completed. <br /> <br />~ Outlet Works Excavation <br /> <br />This item shall include all work necessary to breach the dam <br />including excavation, stockpiling of materials excavated, <br />spoiling of any nonusable materials, and any temporary <br />bracing of the excavation or dewatering required to <br />stabilize the excavation. <br /> <br />Payment of this item shall be based on a unit price basis <br />per cubic yard of material staked for excavation as computed <br />from the average end area method as taken from the field <br />survey cross section measurements taken at approximately 100 <br />foot intervals. <br /> <br />5. Unclassified Earth Excavation <br /> <br />This item of work shall include all general excavation <br />associated with the dam embankment excavation, the inspec- <br />tion trench excavation, the retaining berms, spillway <br />channel excavation, and outlet channel excavation. <br />Excavation for structures shall be included with the cost <br />item for that structure and not included in this item. <br /> <br />Payment for this item shall be based on a unit price basis <br />per cubic yard of material staked for excavation as computed <br />from the average end area method as taken from the field <br />survey cross section measurements taken at approximately 100 <br />foot intervals. <br /> <br />6.
