<br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve stoml or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies oflocal jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the infonnation in said new report for the stream reaches listed in Tables I and 2 <br />meets all of the requirements for detailed information listed under the Board's "Rules and Regulations <br />for the Designation and Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater RWlOffClumnels in <br />Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the information in said new report for the stream reaches listed in Table I has already <br />been designated and approved by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the approximate information in said new report for the stream reach listed in Table 4 <br />and the approximate information in said new report, except for the approximate information for stream <br />reaches included in Tables 3 and 5 and the approxinJate information for local storm drainage areas, <br />lakes, ponds, reservoirs and overflows from irrigation ditches, meets all of the requirements for <br />approximate infonnation listed under the Board's "Rules and Regulations for the Designation and <br />Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the infonnation in said new report for the stream reaches listed in Tables 3 and 5 and <br />for local storm drainage areas, lakes, ponds, reservoirs and overflows from irrigation ditches does not <br />meet all of the requirements for approximate information listed under the Board's "Rules and <br />Regulations for the Designation and Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff <br />Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Colorado Water Conservation Board has determined that the hydrologic <br />methodology developed in the GuUklines for Determining lOO-Year Flood Flows for Approximote <br />Floodplains is appropriate for designation and approval of approximate floodplain infonnation and for <br />use in simple floodplain analyses for development such as open space, agriculture, farm bridges, pole <br />barns and individual single residential structures, but that the methodology is not appropriate for <br />development involving residential subvidivisions greater than 50 lots or occuring on sites greater than.5 <br />acres, connnercial construction, industrial construction, construction of public transportation facilities <br />or construction of flood control activities; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in regular <br />meeting assembled in AIamosa, Colorado, this 9th day of September, 1996, that it does hereby <br />designate and approve as detailed floodplain infonnauon the lOO-year floodpIains as descnbed in said <br />new report, dated March 2, 1989, for the study reacbes listed in Table 2, and does hereby rescind that <br />portion of Resolution No. 263 relating to the detailed floodplain infonnation for the stream reach listed <br />in Table 2; and <br /> <br />10 <br />
