<br />WHEREAS, said Flood Insurance Studies, Map Revisions, Flood Insurance Rate Maps and Flood a <br />Hazard Boundary Maps, as listed in Tables I aIld 2, have all been superseded by more recent Flood, /., <br />Insurance Studies, Map Revisions to Flood Insurance Studies or other floodplain information reports for <br />the same Colorado communities, as listed in Table 3, attached hereto and by this reference incorporated <br />herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said more recent Flood Insurance Studies, Map Revisions and other floodplain <br />information reports have been designated and approved by the Colorado Water Conservation Board or <br />have been listed in the CWCB Designation PlaIl for future designation, as listed in Table 3, and are <br />more appropriate for floodplain management purposes than the older Flood Insurance Studies, Map <br />Revisions, Flood Insurance Rate Maps and Flood Hazard Boundary Maps that they superseded; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the acknowledgement by the Colorado Water Conservation Board of the older Flood <br />Insurance Studies, Map Revisions, Flood InsuraIlce Rate Maps and Flood Hazard Boundary Maps, as <br />listed in Tables 1 and 2, will not be accompanied by the rescission of any designations and approvals <br />by the Colorado Water Conservation Board of subsequent superseding Flood Insurance Studies, Map <br />Revisions and other floodplain information reports, as listed in Table 3; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that <br />legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any a <br />storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water, ., <br />Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make <br />such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board is taking this actiOIl under the provisions of Rule 9.D.2. (Board Initiative) <br />and all affected communities have been notified and their comments have been considered in this <br />resolution; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said reports, as listed in Table 1, include information which meets all of the <br />requirements for detailed information or include a combination of information which meets all of the <br />requirements for detailed information and information which meets all of the requirements for <br />approximate information as listed under the Board's "Rules and Regulations for the Designation and <br />Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the information in said reports, as listed in Table 2, meets all of the requirements <br />for approximate information listed under the BOlU"d's "Rules and Regulations for the Designation and <br />Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />2 <br />
