Mr. Sparks explained what work had been done by
the engineering and legal committees on this act and said it
was agreed that Colorado was going to have to ask for some
amendments on it. There has been substantial agreement
reached between the people in the southwestern part of Colo-
rado and he believed they would have a concrete proposal to
present to the Board at its next meeting.

MR. MOSES: "The next item on the agenda are the
resolutions to Mr. Ivan C. Crawford and
Mr. R. J. Tipton on their resignations
and to Mrs. Dan Hunter on the death of
her husband."

MR. GILDERSLEEVE: "We have three resolutions prepared
by Mr. Sparks. The first to Mr. Tipton
is as follows:

Dear Mr. Tipton:

It was with sincere regret that your letter of
March 25, 1958, tendering your resignation as Consulting Engi-
neer to this Board was entered in the minutes of our last
meeting.

On behalf and at the request of the Board membership,
we are communicating our deep appreciation for your past ser-
vices. We note that you have served this Board continuously
as its Consulting Engineer since August 24, 1937. Your invalu-
able engineering studies now filed in this office, pertaining
to the water resources of the State, have not only served us
well in the past but will continue to be a guide in the future.

We well realize that the international recognition
which you have achieved in the field of hydraulic engineering
has created a corresponding demand for your services. This
