Department and the Corps of Engineers
as to the tentative plan of operation,
it was felt at that time that the mat-
ter could be quickly disposed of and
the lake turned over to the Game and
Fish Department for operation. However,
the Governor desired that the matter be
brought before the Colorado Water Con-
servation Board to determine their reac-
tion to the plan.

The State Game and Fish Department
has prepared a statement of claim for
filing in this office claiming 10,000
acre feet in the bottom of the reser-
voir for use as a conservation and
recreational area.

I

I feel that this is an administra-
tive matter which has been agreed to, as
aforementioned, between this Department
and the Corps of Engineers. MOSES:

"Let's table this matter until a
future meeting and have the Director
notify the parties who have interests in
Cherry Creek reservoir of the date of the
meeting when this proposal will be dis-
cussed.

We will pass on to item #4 which is
the Authorization Act on the San Juan-
Chama Project."

MR. GILDERSLEEVE: "There is a copy of this authorization
act in each of your folders and I believe
Mr. Sparks has something to say about it."
(See Appendix C).

I
