On May 28,2000, a 400-ft. section of the tunnel collapsed, leaving the tunnel inoperable. The proposed project
involves the construction of new access roads and staging areas at both ends of the tunnel and the repair of the
failed tunnel area, at an estimated cost of $3,200,000. Rocky Mountain Consultants, Longmont, Colorado, has
completed the final design and will be monitoring the project during construction. Robison Construction, Inc.,
(RCI) the Contractor, commenced construction in December of 2000, and is tentatively scheduled to be
complete in the fall of 200 1.

13. This condition created an emergency $60,000 repair to construct a new diversion dike to
redirect the river back towards the existing diversion structure headgate. T'he Inigation Company has retained
the services of G.A.S.P., out of Fort Morgan, to prepare the final design plans and specifications to construct a
new concrete diversion structure, utilizing Obermeyer pneumatic gates and a radial flush gate. Boone
Excavating, the Contractor, commenced construction in November of 2000 and is tentatively scheduled to be
complete by February l, 2001.

Projects Under Design

l.
