<br />The Otero Ditch Company diverts water directly from the Arkansas River approximately 1 mile
<br />northwest of the Town of Fowler. The existing diversion structure and right abutment were washed out during
<br />flooding in April and May of 1999. This $620,000 project involves stabilizing 2000 1.f. of streambank, the
<br />construction of a l82-ft. long concrete diversion wall, 3-ft. high with a II-ft. wide concrete stilling basin, and a
<br />new concrete outlet control structure with a 20-ft wide by 8-ft. high opening. The project was designed by the
<br />Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS), who is additionally funding 75% ofthe total construction cost.
<br />Schrepfer Industries, from Trinidad, Colorado, commenced construction in January of2000 and have completed
<br />the work. The new outlet and diversion structures are currently being operated by the Otero Ditch Company.
<br />Project substantial completion is pending, until final review and approval has been received by NRCS, and the
<br />final pay request and final project advertisement have been received from the owner. The anticipated
<br />substantial completion date is March, 2001.

<br />This $55,000,000 project is the replacement of an existing l5-mile pipeline providing water to the Ute
<br />Water Conservancy District. The District provides water to 55,000 people, or more than half of the Grand Valley
<br />population. Camp, Dresser, & McKee, Inc. of Denver has completed final design and construction contract
<br />documents for Phase II of the project. Phase I of the project, placement of the lower 8,000 linear foot of the
<br />pipeline, commenced in February by ERS Constructors, Inc. of Sedalia, CO. and was completed in May 1999.
<br />Phase II involves the installation of 26,000-ft. of 48" waterline pipe, 29,500-ft. of 54" waterline pipe, and the
<br />construction of 13,500-ft. of 10' diameter tunnel. A joint venture between Barnard Construction, Inc. of Bozeman,
<br />Montana and Affholder Construction, Inc. of Chesterfield, Missouri was awarded the construction contract for
<br />Phase II, at a cost of $44,000,000. Construction of Phase II commenced in December 1999 and is approximately
<br />75% complete. The project is tentatively scheduled for completion in October of 200l.

<br />Project Type: New Dam Construction
<br />
<br />This $20,000,000 project is the construction of a new 9,000 acre-foot reservoir northwest of Arvada. The
<br />project consists of a 105-foot high, zoned earth embankment, Probable Maximum Flood emergency spillway, with
<br />a 30-inch diameter outlet pipe. The final design plans were completed by Tuttle-Applegate, Inc. of Denver and
<br />CTL/Thompson, which have been reviewed and approved by the State Engineer's Office. The construction
<br />contract was awarded to R.E. Monk from Colorado Springs, Colorado, at a contract price of $15,000,000. The
<br />distribution pipeline from the dam to the Company's treatment plant commenced construction in October 1999 by
<br />Company forces. R.E. Monk commenced construction in March of 2000, with project completion scheduled for
<br />March of2002. The project is approximately 60% complete.
