1129

MR. MOSES:

"May I interject something here on
that. You gentlemen have probably
noticed these microphones and the fact
this is all being recorded. I haven't
any idea what a system like this costs
and I don't see any reason why the Water
Board should buy one of its own. I think,
if this works out satisfactorily, the
State of Colorado ought to consider get-
ting it for use by any agency, because
we would only need one for Board meetings.

I

This is just being demonstrated to-
day. I don't think this is in our budget
and I don't think we can afford it for
our own use solely but there are other
groups that need this kind of service
and it seems to me we ought to urge the
State to get some kind of a system like
this."

Discussion was held on this system which was ex-
plained by the Dictaphone representative who answered questions
by the members.

MR. SPARKS:

"The U. S. G. S. stream gaging has.
been increased slightly. This was neces-
sary because of the increase in stations
and, as somebody has already mentioned,
a little increase in the governmental
salaries.

High altitude reservoir study -
nothing included in the budget for the
fiscal year 1959."

MR. NELSON:

"Has anything been spent from this
$25,000?"

MR. SPARKS:

"Nothing has been spent this fiscal
year at the present time. We are going
to try and see what we can do with that
fund."

I

MR. NELSON:
.MR; SPARKS:

"What is the deadline on it?"

"June 30th. The deadline on all our
budget items is June '30th."

MR. NELSON:

"How many years do we have in which to
spend this money?"
