11Z'/

This completes a very complicated
gaging system which, as near as we can
determine at this time, would allow a
complete study of the water supply in
any area in Western Colorado."

I

MR. NELSON:

"Does this group make 60 or is this
group on top of the 60?"

MR. SPARKS:
MR. MOSES:

"This group makes 60."

MR. SPARKS:
MR. MILLER:

"This $20,000 - do we pay half of
this under the co-op agreement with
them and half they pay?" .

"We pay half of that money - $10,000."

"Mr. Chairman I understood there was
some decrease in the U. S. G. S. budget
for the year 1959 and I was wondering if
this decrease was in any way related to
the gaging stations program."

MR. SPARKS:

"No. There was no decrease in the
gaging station program. As I say, I was
surprised they raked up this $10,000 and
they gave us a contract on that basis.
We have the contract now but it has not
been signed and completed although it is
in the process as far as the state agen-
cies are concerned. The Bureau wants to
install these stations immediately so
that they can get the readings during the
spring run-offs." .

MR. MILLER:.

"Is it in order then to move that we
approve this recommendation?"

I

MR. SPARKS:
MR. MILLER:
MR. NELSON:
MR. SPARKS:

"I think it is, Mr. Miller."

"I so move."

"I second the motion."

"It has been moved and seconded. Is
there any further discussion? Ready for
the question? All in favor say 'aye';
opposed 'no'."

The motion passed unanimously.
