It is suggested that you make your room reservations directly
with the clerk of the hotel or motel where you desire to stay.
Three places for lodging that are close to the Capitol grounds
and with which I am familiar are the La Fonda Hotel, La Posada
and Desert Inn. The latter two places could be classed as
motor hotels; although they are in the heart of town.

MR. MOSES:

"I think, in regard to Mr. Peterson's
motion, that as a matter of protocol, our
resolution should be addressed to our Com-
missioner rather than to the Commission as
a whole."

MR. NELSON:
MR. MILLER:

"I second .Mr. Peterson's motion."

"Might I inquire if the motion might
be made more effective if worded to oppose
the amendment to the By-Laws?"

MR. SPARKS:

"I certainly think it appropriate, be-
fore such a move was mad~,that this Board
request some explanation from the Upper
Colorado River Commission as to why this
move is contemplated. I think they should
show us the courtesy of making an explana-
tion to this Board so that we can be fully
informed before they take any such action."

"I think my motion should coincide with
Mr. ~liller's ,suggestion that the objection
Colorado should raise should be against the
amendment rather than the moving of the
offices."

MR. PETERSON:

MR. WHITTEN:

"I think Mr. Peterson's motion stated
the whole thing."

"Wouldn't it be appropriate to ask our
Commissioner to defer action until the mat-
ter is explained to this Board? I think we
have a definite responsibility to the State
of Colorado in 'connection with that amend-
ment and before we can make any intelligent
decision we ought to have the matter explained
to us."
