System <br /> <br />This $345,000 project is the construction of a new rural raw water irrigation and distribution <br />system in La Plata County west of Ignacio, The project consists of construction of a concrete <br />diversion structure and pump station at the Florida River, a transmission pipeline from the diversion <br />to a storage impoundment, and construction of approximately 9,000 feet of distribution pipeline <br />from the storage impoundment to the water users, RMI Environmental Services of Fannington, <br />New Mexico prepared the project design. Project construction commenced September 2, 1997 by <br />RMI Environmental Services of Farmington, New Mexico (a designlbuild contractor), The project <br />is currently 70% complete and continues to be on indefmite hold due to and financial problems, <br /> <br />Julesburg Irrigation District - Harmonv Ditch # I Diversion Structure Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: Emerg, Infrastructure Repair Account County: Logan - SW of Crook <br />Water Source: South Platte River Project Yield: 40,000 ac,ft, <br />Terms of Loan: $590,000 @ 3,75% for 30 years Project Type: Diversion Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This project is the emergency rehabilitation of the Julesburg Irrigation District's Harmony <br />Ditch # I diversion structure on the South Platte River 4 miles southwest of Crook, The structure <br />was damaged by the 1997 South Platte floods and is critical to the operation of the Company's <br />Julesburg Reservoir. Zoyiopoulos & Associates of Greeley prepared the design plans and the <br />construction contract was awarded to Concrete Specialties, Inc, of Sterling in early January 1999, <br />Construction is currently 60% complete, Due to the threat oflow spring runoff, the District decided <br />to complete 50% of the diversion dam and 100% of the headgate structure, demobilize the <br />contractor, and complete the project in the fall. Project completion is therefore scheduled for <br />October 1999, <br /> <br />Fort Morgan. Morgan <br />Project Yield: 6,877 ac,ft, <br />Project Type: Pipeline Construction <br /> <br />This project is an extension of the Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District's <br />Southern Pipeline Project. The pipeline extension will provide high quality western slope water to <br />the City of Fort Morgan for their municipal use, Montgomery Watson, Inc, of Denver completed <br />the project design, from the Hudson!Ft. Lupton extension at Platteville, to the Fort Morgan area, in <br />June, The construction contract was awarded to BRB Contractors, Inc. of Topeka, Kansas and <br />construction commenced September I, 1998, Construction is approximately 65% complete with <br />project completion scheduled for late 1999, <br />
