<br />Authorization: SB 98-1189 <br />Water Source: Cache la Poudre <br />Terms of Loan: $500,000 @ 4,03% for 20 years <br /> <br />County: Larimer- W of Wellington <br />Project Yield: 11,973 ac,ft, <br />Project Type: Dam and Pipeline Rehab, <br /> <br />, <br />e <br /> <br />North Poudre Irrigation Companv - Various Pioeline and Dam Improvements <br /> <br />This project is the rehabilitation of several North Poudre system facilities, The <br />rehabilitation projects include: I,) Spillway construction at North Poudre Reservoir #5, 2,) Pipeline <br />construction at the North Poudre Reservoir #6 outlet. 3,) Pipeline construction along North <br />Poudre's Buckeye lateral, Smith Geotechnical, Inc, of Fort Collins prepared the design plans and a <br />construction contract was awarded to Zak Dirt, Inc, of Longmont for the Reservoir #6 project. That <br />project was completed in April 1999, Construction schedules for the other two projects are <br />currently being evaluated, <br /> <br />Ute Water Conservancv District - Plateau Creek Pipeline <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 88-30 <br />Water Source: Grand Mesa Drainage <br />Terms of Loan: $7,600,000 @ 5% for 30 years <br /> <br />County: Mesa - E of Palisade <br />Project Yield: 7,200 ac,ft, <br />Project Type: Pipeline Construction <br /> <br />This project is the replacement of an existing 15-mile pipeline providing water to the Ute e <br />Water Conservancy District. The District provides water to 55,000 people, or more than half of the <br />Grand Valley population. Camp, Dresser, & McKee, Inc, of Denver is currently preparing the <br />project design for 1999 construction, Phase I of the project, placement of the lower 8,000 linear <br />foot of the pipeline, commenced in February by ERS Constructors, Inc, of Sedalia, CO, and was <br />completed in May 1999, The entire project is scheduled for completion in the year 2000, <br /> <br />Denver Museum of Natural Historv - Denver Basin Aquifer Geo-Hvdrologic Core Studv <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 98-1189 <br />Water Source: Denver Basin Aquifers <br />Terms of Loan: $90,000 Grant <br /> <br />County: Elbert - S of Kiowa <br />Project Yield: N/A <br />Project Type: Geo-Hydrologic Study <br /> <br />Ibis project is the acquisition of a 2,200-foot core of the Denver Basin aquifers near Kiowa <br />in the central Denver Basin, The purpose of the core is to help develop an integrated hydrologic <br />and geologic framework for the Denver Basin aquifers, Ibis will enable State, County, and <br />municipal planners to promote appropriate development of the Basin's water resources, Ibis core- <br />drilling project is part of a three-year National Science Foundation research study that will focus on _ <br />the evolution of the Denver Basin and its landscapes, Dri11ing commenced March I, 1999 by .. <br />Layne Western, mc, and was completed in April, Core analysis will continue for three years, <br />
