"I am Ralph Anderson of Columbine Valley.
You talked about South Suburban taking over the
planting of this - how much taxes would that
put on our homeowners that they already have put
on by South Suburban? Or is the government
going to pay for this improvement in South
Suburban?"

"The South Suburban is a local entity.
South Suburban is not the only entity involved
here. There is the City of Littleton, Columbine,
Sheridan, Englewood. or any combination of those.
They may want to nssume juriadiation within their
own boundaries. The matter of taxation is your
problem out here. You elect a board of direc-
tors. It is something we can't solve from the
state viewpoint. As l1r. Dover indicated. the
Corps is seeking approval for these recreational
facilities whereby the federal government would
pay not to exceed fifty percent of the cost under
the cost sharing arrangement which Congress has
authorized in recent years. There is a possibil-
ity that we can get fifty percent federal funds
for any recreational improvement."

"I might add that we will be hearing from
representatives of many of these agencies as
speakers in just a minute and that question may
be amplified at that time.
