"I just want to make sure as to what the
Corps of Engineers wants today on these things.
You don't need anything else from us? You
said something about how you could go ahead.
Are you going to go ahead now just the same as
if you hadn't come here today? This thing
isn't just going to stop right now, is it?"

"No, but it would be helpful to get an
endorsement on those parts of the plan that
you feel that you could recommend."

"That's what I think we ought to do. I
think we ought to go ahead. Ben, and do some-
thing. "

"As far as Castlewood, this thing is
authorized and all we are doing is recommend-
ing this change in functions."

"We'd help you though if we take a stand
on where your studies are going to go or what
you are going to do."

"At the present time we submitted the
report for advance review; and the report went
to the board early this month - to the Board
of Engineers for Rivers and Harbors for advance
review. The official transmittal hasn't gone
forward yet. It's still within the district.
As soon as the Environmental Impact Statement
nas been reviewed and we receive comments, we
will submit the Environmental Impact Statement
and the report through channels to our higher
authorities, with the idea that we are trying
to get this thing reviewed and into an omnibus
bill this fiscal year - this calendar year,
that is."

"I feel that if we could get an endorse-
ment of portions of the plan. it would be
helpful during this review procedure."
