<br />.' <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />Agricultural Ditch and Reservoir Companv - Rehabilitation of the Welch Ditch <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 97-008 <br />Water Source: Clear Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $300,000 @ 5.25% for 30 yrs <br /> <br />County: Jefferson <br />Project Yield: 1,000 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Pipeline and Pumps <br /> <br />This $600,000 project involves the abandonment of portions of the Welch Ditch, <br />construction of a dropout structure on the Welch Ditch, a pipeline from the Agricultural Ditch to <br />the Welch Ditch, and construction of three lift stations to pump water from the Agricultural Ditch <br />back to the Welch Ditch at various locations. The need for the project is due to several landslide <br />areas along the Welch Ditch, which continue to create high maintenance and water delivery <br />problems for the company. The project is located in Jefferson County east of Green Mountain. <br />Mountain States Engineering Associates, Inc. prepared project design from Lakewood, Colorado. <br />The pipeline and dropout structure project commenced construction November 3, 1997 by T. <br />Lowell Construction, Inc. of Castle Rock, Colorado and was completed in April 1998. The first of <br />three pump station projects commenced in early February with the owner acting as the general <br />contractor. The overall project is approximately 50% complete and scheduled for completion in <br />November 1998. <br /> <br />Windsor Reservoir and Canal Companv - Poudre Vallev Canal/Cobb Lake Pipeline <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 96-153 <br />Water Source: Cache la Poudre River <br />Terms of Loan: $1,202,000@4.I5%for30yrs <br /> <br />County: Weld/Larimer <br />Project Yield: 10,500 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Ditch Lining and Pipeline <br /> <br />The Windsor Reservoir and Canal Company has recently initiated a 15 year staged <br />rehabilitation program of their 25 miles of canal and 6 reservoirs. This second project consists of <br />the replacement of Cobb Lake's outlet pipe connecting to an outlet channel 2,500 feet downstream. <br />Smith Geotechnical of Fort Collins, Colorado completed the project design of the Cobb Lake <br />outlet pipe project. The construction contract was awarded to Zak Dirt, Inc. of Longmont, <br />Colorado in late October 1997. The project commenced construction in late December 1997 due to <br />cold weather delays, is currently 99% complete and is scheduled for completion in May 1998. A <br />third project associated with this loan authorization is scheduled to commence in the Fall 1998. <br />
