~reliminary Notice, Division 5

At the October 7, 1982 Boar.d meeting you were presented with
a Preliminary Notice for instre~m flow appropriations in Water
Division 5. Our review of the VOW hydrologic and hydraulic data
indicated that additional field work will be required for some of
the streams. We have therefore decided that the Division 5
streams will not be advanced to Final Notice until the additional
data is obtained. We expect that the field work will be con-
ducted this summer. We have advised the parties that expressed
an interest in the Division 5 streams of our decision.

Final Notice, Division 3

At the October 7, 1982 Board meeting the Board ratified a
stipulation with the Rio Grande Water Users Association for Divi-
sion 3 streams subject to review and possible modification of
some language in the stipulation.

The stipulation has been reviewed and a minor language
change has heen mane ann approved hy the attorneys for. the Rio
Grande Water Users Association, the A. G.'s office and the staff.

The staff will therefore file the Division 3 recommendations
in Water Court in the near future.
