Boulder & Lefthand Irrilzation Companv - Twin Lakes Outlet Imorovements <br /> <br />Authorization: Small Project Loan <br />Water Source: Boulder Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $100,000@3.75%for20yrs. <br /> <br />County: Boulder-N.E. of Boulder <br />Project Yield: 2,584 acre feet <br />Project Type: Outlet/Spillway <br /> <br />Twin Lakes is an equalizing reservoir that has an existing capacity of218 acre-feet, located <br />approximately 5 miles northeast of Boulder. The State Engineer's Office during inspection of the <br />facility determined that an outlet pipe had deteriorated beyond repair and that a new spillway be <br />incorporated into the reservoir. Given possible restrictions imposed by the State Engineer's Office, <br />the Boulder and Lefthand Irrigation Company elected to construct a combined outlet/spillway <br />structure. The new control structure consists of a 30" steel outlet pipe and headgate, with a 36" <br />drop inlet/spillway strUcture. The project was designed by Rocky Mountain Consultants, <br />Longman!, Colorado. The project construction was awarded to Kemp-Hoffman, out of <br />Northglenn, Colorado. The Contractor has completed forming the new outlet control strUcture and <br />is cUlTenliy in the process of installing the 30" steel outlet pipe. The project is approximately 50% <br />complete. The overall project is anticipated to be completed by April 15, 2001. <br /> <br />14. West Rhone Lateral Ditch Comoanv Lateral Reconstruction Project <br /> <br />Authorization: Small Project Loan <br />Water Source: Grand Valley Canal <br />Terms of Loan: $100,000@3.55%for30yrs. <br /> <br />County: Weld - N. of Grand Junction <br />Project Yield: 2,278 acre feet <br />Project Type: Ditch Lateral Reconst. <br /> <br />This project involves the reconfiguration of the West Rhone Lateral Ditch Company's <br />existing lateral, which is currently operated under Latera1395. West Rhone's current use under <br />Lateral 395 has been abandoned and new lateral and diversion point off the Grand Valley Canal is <br />being constructed. The new lateral involves 1.25 miles of 12" 100 psi plastic pipe on a new <br />alignment and the construction of a new diversion structure on the Grand Valley Canal. The <br />NRCS, Grand Junction office has completed the design and the project has been awarded to EDEX <br />Construction, out of Grand Junction, Colorado. The Contractor is currently laying pipe and is <br />approximately 25% complete.
