The projects identified consisted of the Poudre <br />Valley Canal, Cobb Lake Pipeline and Outlet/Inlet Structures, Windsor Reservoir No.8, Annex No. <br />S and Elder Reservoir Outlet Structure. The Poudre Valley Canal and the Cobb Lake <br />improvements have been designed and constructed. The design on Annex No.8, Windsor No. 8 <br />and Elder Reservoir are currently underway, with construction planned to commence in the Fali of <br />200 I. Construction may consist of I, 2 or all 3-reservoir projects, depending on the direction of <br />the Ditch Company. <br /> <br />2. Rvan Gulch Rp.<lP.rvoir Comnanv - Rvan Gulch Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: SB 99-173 <br />Water Source: Big Thompson River <br />Terms of Loan: $317,500 @4.25% for 30 years <br /> <br />County: Larimer- S. of Loveland <br />Project Yield: 645 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Dam Rehabilitation <br /> <br />This project is the rehabilitation of the Ryan Gulch Dam which includes the construction of <br />a new spillway, lining the upstream face of the dam with a clay liner, sleeving the existing 24-inch <br />outlet pipe, and constructing a new upstream controlled inlet works. Boyle Engineering, Inc. of <br />Denver has completed the final design plans, which has been reviewed and approved by the State <br />Engineer's Office. Bids were received to 'construct the planned improvements, but were outside the <br />project budget The Ditch Company is currently working with Boyle Engineering in redesigning <br />certain aspects of the project in an attempt to reduce the overall cost of the job. Construction is <br />tentatively scheduled for Fall of2001. <br /> <br />3. People Ditch Comoanv PeoDle Ditch Diversion Structure Rehabilitation <br /> <br />Authorization: Small Project Loan <br />Water Source: South Platte River <br />Terms of Loan: $43,000@3.750/0for20years <br /> <br />County: Logan - N.E. of Sterling <br />Project Yield: 1,200 ac.ft. <br />Project Type: Diversion Structure <br /> <br />The People's Ditch Company historically diverted irrigation water from the South Platte <br />River at an existing diversion point located approximately 6 miles northwest of the Town of <br />Sterling. This existing diversion structure was damaged during the flood of 1995 and was entireiy <br />washed out in 1997. The proposed project is to construct a new diversion structure along the <br />Bravo Ditch, therefore eliminating the need for the existing structure, and then construct <br />approximately 1050 l.f. of 24" pipeline to transport the flow from the Bravo Ditch back to Peopies <br />Ditch. Bravo Ditch has agreed to allow People Ditch to convey their decree flows through their <br />ditch system and then divert it back to the existing People Ditch by means of the new diversion <br />structure. The project is tentatively on-hold pending resolution of some specific loan contract <br />requirements. <br /> <br />4. Summit Reservoir and Irrillation COlllPanv <br /> <br />Authorization: SB-97 -008 <br />Water Source: Lost Canyon Creek <br />Terms of Loan: $200,OOO@3.75% for 30-years <br /> <br />County: Montezuma - NE of Cortez <br />Project Yield: 4,287 ac. ft. <br />Project Type: Reservoir and Ditch Rehab. <br /> <br />This $270,000 project is the rehabilitation of the Summit Reservoir Dam outlet works <br />and the repair and improvements to the Summit Reservoir and Irrigation Company's water <br />collection and distribution facilities.
