I

I

time. The same situation prevailed on Ruedi.

Going on to our filling criteria, at Flam-
ing Gorge I have secured the last information
on the filling of our three storage reservoirs.
At 8 a. m. on July 16th, water in the Flaming
Gorge Reservoir was at elevation 5,970.72.
That represented 1,599,600 acre-feet of storage.
The previous day there was an increase in stor-
age of 5,900 acre-feet. The outflow from the
reservoir was 2,592 second feet with an inflow
of about 5,542 second feet.

As far as Navajo is concerned, on the 16th
the water surface was at elevation 5,953.74.
the reservoir content was 444,800 acre-feet.
The previous day the reservoir was drawn down
by 2,200 acre-feet. The inflow was 891 second
feet. They are still attempting to reduce that
reservoir to provide access for the contractor
for the inlet tunnel for the Navajo Indian
Irrigation Project. They haven't, as yet,
drawn the reservoir down to that elevation.

Moving on to Glen Canyon, on the 17th at
8 a. m. elevation of water surface in that
reservoir was 3,480.65. The reservoir content
was 5,655,000 acre-feet. The previous day the
reservoir gained 15,500 acre-feet. The outflow
was 970 second feet with an inflow of approxi-
mately 8,500 acre-feet."

1>lR. MILENSKI:

"What was the content in acre-feet again?"

MR. JENNINGS:

"The content was 5,655,000. Now we are
concerned that in the next nine months if we
should have an unusually critical period as far
as streamflow is concerned, that it may lower
Lake Mead below the 1,083 elevation by next
spring.

As far as General Investigations are con-
cerned, we have made our final revisions on the
Upper Gunnison Basin reconnaissance report.
This has been approved by the Commissioner's
office and should be ready for distribution very
shortly.
