<br />~q~~ <br /> <br />site. Bids for modification work and in- <br />stallation of Government-furnished steel <br />liner panels will be taken shortly after the <br />stilling basin is dewatered. The repair work <br />will be scheduled for completion before the <br />1968 spring flood season. <br /> <br />On the silt project, one of the partici- <br />pating projects, the construction work is <br />now approximately 97 percent complete on the <br />total project. We are storing water in the <br />Rifle Gap Reservoir and we anticipate that <br />this summer we will have a 50 to 70 percent <br />water supply for the project and this year <br />will be a general seasoning and testing year <br />for the project. The relocated Colorado <br />state Highway No. 325 was opened to public <br />traffic on January 27. This road will be <br />surfaced during the coming spring. <br /> <br />We have a small repair work going on <br />our Smith Fork project which consists of some <br />revisions to a diversion dam which did not <br />work satisfactorily simply because of the <br />undue amount of flood load carried by the <br />Smith Fork stream. This work will be com- <br />pleted prior to the start of the irrigation <br />season. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />There is no change in the status of the <br />Bostwick Park project. This work consists <br />of construction of the Silver Jack Dam. This <br />dam is located at almost 10,000 feet eleva- <br />tion and work was discontinued last fall. <br />It will be initiated again with the advent <br />of suitable weather. Last fall the damsite <br />area was cleared and stripping operations <br />were nearly completed before the heavy snow- <br />storms made further work impractical. We I' <br />propose to take bids early in 1968 for con- <br />struction of about 12 miles of new laterals <br />to service the project area. <br /> <br />Repairs to the lining of the Gunnison <br />Tunnel on the Uncompahgre project are pro- <br />gressing according to schedule.
