<br />I <br /> <br />APPENDIX A <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />102 Columbine Building <br />1845 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />June 21, 1974 <br /> <br />R ~ 2 0 L U T ~ 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Engineering Consultants, Inc., Denver, <br />Colorado, has completed for the Urban Drainage and Flood Control <br />District. a Water and Drainage at Niver Creek Phase B Report in <br />Adams County, Cities of Federal Heights and Thornton, Colorado, <br />dated February 1974; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said Report outlines and describes the flood <br />water runoff channels within the above described areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article l49-l-11(4) , Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1963,. requires that the Colorado Water Conservation Board designate <br />and approve storm or flood water runoff channels and to make such <br />designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />arid <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 139-60-l, Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1963, provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and <br />local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for any storm <br />or flood water runoff channel only after designation and approval <br />by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District <br />has requested the Colorado Water conservation Board to designate <br />and approve the flood hazard areas as set forth in the aforesaid <br />Report; and <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said Report <br />and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />that said Board designate and approve as flood hazard areas those <br />areas set forth in the Report as being subject to flooding by the <br />lOO-year flood under existing conditions. <br />
