Mr. Sparks: I think not. We have already made our pitch through the
congressional delegation. Both Senator Dominick and Senator Haskell
are aware of this request. Senator Dominick personally appeared before
the Senate Appropriations Committee and requested $100,000 for the
Lower Yampa project. I know Senator Haskell has been active also in
supporting the request.

~~. Stapleton: All right. Is there any further discussion on the
Lower Yampa or Savery-Pot Hook projects?

Let's then go to item number 4, and that will be the flood plain des-
ignations. They have been circulated. There is an addition and that
is South Boulder Creek. These things I consider pretty well routine.
The resolutions are in your folders. Unless you want any discussion,
I will entertain a motion that the flood plain designations for Niver
Creek in Adams County, Little Dry Creek in Arapahoe County and South
Boulder Creek in Boulder County be approved.

~~. Vandemoer: Larry can answer this quickly. As I understand it,
Larry, after we do this it goes back to the commissioners and local
people. In other words, sometimes people are pretty upset about this.

~. Sparks: We don't do anything but authorize them to zone if they
want to. They don't have to do anything. Their own zoning procedure
has to be followed, public hearings and so on, before they adopt an
ordinance.
