MR. STAPLETON:

MR. BURR:

MR. STAPLETON:

MR. BURR:

MR. STAPLETON

(3) Approval of this request will be used by
others as a precedent to request your further
approval of proposals that are in violation of
stated Colorado Water Conservation Board policy,
the Water Conservancy District Act and Senate
Document No. 80.

The Board of Directors for the Middle Park
Water Conservancy District, which District would
be most immediately affected by the Ft. Collins
proposal, has asked to join the Colorado River
Water Conservation District in this statement.'

Thank you."

"Thank you, Mr. Smith. Are there any further
comments from members of the Board?"

"Mr. Chairman."

IIMr'. So
there must be some other motive that they have in
obtaining this water. I have no objection to Ft.
Collins getting more water and this small diver-
sion because they could probably take it in a
tin cup.

So I think that this Board should have some
say in what goes through a federally financed
facility. Therefore I believe, just as Mr.
Nelson and the Colorado River Water District -
I haven't talked with the Jackson County Conser-
vancy District - but I can safely say that I
personally will join the Colorado River Water
Conservation District in proposing that this not
be approved."

"Any further statements from any members of
