"I don't believe Mr. Slizeski is here from
the Omaha Office of the Corps of Engineers. The
report of the Omaha Office is in your foloers as
Agenoa Item '~2f. I'll just call your attention
to the first item. You remember we asked Mr.
Slizeski in June what the effect of the Cherry
Creek Reservoir was on flood protection in the
Denver area and I notice that for the August 3rd
storm he estimates it prevented approximately
$186,000 worth of damage in Denver and on the
South Platte below Denver.

Unless there are any specific questions the
Director might be able to amplify, I think the
report of Mr. Slizeski's office is self-explana-
tory.

We'll now turn to Item 'ff3 on the Agenda, 'Re-
quest of the City of Fort Collins for Diversion
through the Colorado-Big Thompson Project Facili-
ties'. The Board may recall that this question
was on the agenda at our June meeting in Craig
and the Secretary-Manager of the Northern Colo-
rado Water Conservancy District said that this
matter would be taken up with his board at their
next meeting and this Board asked the staff to
make recommendations to it at our meeting today.

"Gentlemen, a comprehensive memorandum was
sent out to you under date of August 22nd on this
particular problem. You will recall that the
City of Fort Collins made a request to the Bureau
of Reclamation and to the Northern Colorado Water
Conservancy District for the transportation of a
small amount of water presently decreed above
Grand Lake for irrigation use.

We examined the problem and concluded that it
is not a matter over which this Board has any
