Not that we won't construct or consider the single purpose needs and single purpose type of projects but we think that more can be done in connection and with multiple-purpose developments such as reservoirs involving many purposes which will satisfy many needs of the basin. "I'd like to ask Mr. Redmond if he could give us an idea of what progress is being made upon the Las Animas Floodway and when could we expect to receive some action on that recommend- ation from the Chief of Engineers and thereafter in the Congress?" "Mr. Sparks, that report on the Las Animas Local Protection Project is being submitted, probably this week, from the Albuquerque District Office to the Division Office. It has been pre- viously reviewed by that office and I anticipate that in a short time they will forward the report to the Chief of Engineers and issue a notice of report to all interested agencies. It is planned to clear the report through the Board of Engi- neers of the Rivers and Harbors and the Chief of Engineers in the spring of 1964 so that it will be submitted to the Congress. Of course, prior to that it will have to run a 90 day review by the State of Colorado. ~le hope that it will make a proposed Omnibus Bill in 1964. I Does that answer your question?" "It does."
