WHEREAS, the united States Army Corps of Engineers, <br />.Omaha District, completed in. October, 1968, a Flood Plain Informa- <br />tion Report entitled "Flood Plain Information, Volume IV, Denver <br />Metropolitan Region, Colorado," which includes McIntyre Gulch;. and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested <br />by the Denver Regional Council. of Governments by resolution adopted <br />May 7, 1969, approved and designated the floodplains described in <br />said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new floodplain information report entitled <br />"Flood Hazard Area Delineat.ion, McIntyre Gulch, city of Lakewood, <br />Colorado," dated October, 1977, has been prepared by Hydro-Triad, <br />Ltd., at the request of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District <br />and the city of Lakewood, which report updates and revises the pre- <br />vious information for McIntyre Gulch as prepared by the Corps of <br />Engineers; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District <br />has requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate <br />and approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the aforesaid <br />report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water conservation Board to assist in <br />the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado <br />Revised Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of <br />local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on <br />or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; <br />and <br /> <br />APPENDIX E <br />
