Clarence, I recall vividly that you made that climb. You complained a
little about it, but you made it.

MR. BURR: Three times.

MR. SPARKS: On behalf of all the board members, Clarence, it is a
pleasure to present this to you -for your den or whatever. We hope
you will visit us often, and we will continue to record your vote on
minimum streamf1ows.

(Laughter and applause on presentation of picture.)-

MR. BURR: Thank you very much--the board arid the staff. I can-say
that for over twenty-one years that I was on the board, I truly
enjoyed the fellowship of these men and the staff, and also the other
people in water.

I have been more or less objecting to these minimum flows. I see that
the Fish and Game are still up for the big grab. (Laughter.) I guess
they will never stop.

I certainly appreciate these pictures, because I made it a goal to get
up there to-this Natural Bridge. That's a nice trip and I enjoyed
every minute of it with all the old-timers as well as the past board
members. I can see that there has been quite a change over the period
of years.

I can recall a few years back that the board and the .staff, in my
estimation, did a better job when they went directly to the Governor
and directly to the House and Senate, because this Natural Resources
Board, along with the Fish and:Game and Wildlife, seems to take over
part of the responsibilities of this board--and I objec~ to that.

Thank you very much. Just the same, I appreciate these pictures. And
I still say that the minimum flows are no good.
